This is your chance to walk around with the author of "Edible Plants of the Gulf South" (Dr. Charles M. Allen) and see and learn edible plants firsthand. Tables full of plants will also be spread out for you to look at, learn about, taste test, etc. There will also be tea tasting with at least 10 different homemade wild collected plant teas for you to sip including blackberry tip, New Jersey, red clover, and yaupon. A great Father's Day gift. Spend the Saturday before Father's Day with your father or send him to this tour/talk. All are welcome including children. Pre-registration requested.
The schedule:
| 8 AM: | begin walking tour and grazing along the way. Will see 50 or more edible/useful plants |
| 10 AM: | inside presentation of edibles with labeled plants. Expect to see more than 80 plants |
| 11 AM: | tea time, taste plants, smell spices, ask questions etc. Also inside |
The cost (includes signed copy of Edible Plants of the Gulf South):
